Simple "Day of the Dead" Make-up, Continued
Foundation primer or facial moisturizer
Loose powder (translucent or color free)
Powder brush
Colored eyeshadows
Black eyeliner pencil, cake eyeliner or black eyeshadow
Angled eyeliner brush
Angled blush brush
Prep your skin with a foundation primer or facial moisturizer to help the cream makeup go on evenly.
Cover your entire face (lips too) with white cream makeup. Then set the cream with loose powder using a fluffy powder brush.
Using a small angled eyeliner brush, outline the designs you would like on your face with cake eyeliner or black eyeshadow. Don't worry about the lines being perfect because you can always go back and blend.
For the eyes, you can use which ever bold eyeshadow you like. I ended up using more cream makeup from my MUD character palette
Contour your cheekbones with an eyeshadow color of your choice. I used a dark grey, but you could also use the same color you used around your eyes. I also contoured my temples and the top of my forehead.
Blend harsh lines and fill in color where ever you want!
Finish the look off with a floral head piece-- it's a must for this look! I made my own by pinning fake flowers to a fabric headband.
Optional-- FaceTime with your mom after your look is finished. Hilarity ensues.
**To glam up this look, you can use eyelash adhesive to glue gems where the petals are around the eyes and apply some dramatic false eyelashes.
